Theatre as Self-Discovery

Giving Voice to the Unspoken

When Cats Fly is a creative company dedicated to the transformative power of physical theatre. We believe that theatre is not just performance—it's a journey into who you were, who you are, and who you can become.

Through playful exploration and mindful practice, we help participants reconnect their minds and bodies, express emotions they couldn't articulate before, and discover confidence they never knew they had.

Our work spans community productions that amplify marginalized voices, professional workshops that build teams and transform individuals, and creative collaborations that push the boundaries of contemporary Cambodian theatre.

Achieving my dream would not have been possible without my brilliant and determined teacher, Sabine. She has taught me what theatre truly is. She dedicated her valuable time to guide and train us to portray our emotions effectively. Furthermore, she ensured that everyone felt safe and comfortable when telling their stories.

Human Library

Connecting Through Stories

The Human Library is a place where people are the books and share their stories with you in an intimate setting.

The Human Library transforms conversation into art — turning silence into dialogue, judgment into understanding and difference into connection.

Come listen, connect, and discover stories you've never heard before.

1st edition — 7th February: We made a bit of history with the first-ever Human Library in Siem Reap, and the first in all of Cambodia!
Ten incredibly brave individuals volunteered to be 'Open Books' and shared their personal journeys and lived experiences with the 'readers'. It was a profound evening of connection and respect.

What Readers Say

Attending the Human Library was a unique and special opportunity. It was inspiring to hear stories of overcoming adversity from all walks of life. Hearing the younger generation speak so passionately about overcoming challenges and hopes and dreams for the future filled me with awe and inspiration. I highly recommend attending a Human Library event, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity and very worthwhile.

What a lovely, warm, insightful, empathizing and affectionate evening. It was a new experience for me and I will definitely seek out another in the future. Sharing in this type of loving atmosphere is so motivating. Everything flowed so beautifully, so well organized and at the same time, so relaxed. Thank you Sabine and all the "books" and all those present.
Leslie Atkinson
